Registration Procedures and Rules

Hub Rule #1: All users must be at least 18 years of age and registered!

Go to the registration page to setup a username and password upon submitting a valid email address.

If you already have a nick you use in other DC hubs, please continue to use it here. If you are choosing a nick for the first time, don't create one with all capital letters, gibberish, or something crazy for shock value; this is the name people will come to know you by. Do not choose "A", "B", "DJ", "FBI", "123456",  or "[CZ][HU][RO][scamcast][ilovemary]cvspharmacy"; you will just have to go through the process again when it is rejected, or worse. Your username is your account title; once you select your nick, it can only be altered by an administrator, and doing this may result in loss of records, contributions, forum posts all tied to that username, so choose a keeper. If you change it on your own, or attempt to register multiple accounts, you may be banned. We encourage reading the FAQs and familiarizing yourself with the Bootleg Archive database, which you can later access from the hub.

Your password must be at least 7 characters, and may not be your username, or your username with a few extra characters added. Please select a unique password that will keep your contributions and record of conduct secure, and our website and hub safe from uninvited guests.

We are also requiring registration in the hub as well, because the website cannot automatically register you with the hub at this time. Simply login to the hub with your username, type !regme followed by a space and then then your password. For instance, if my password was delta999, I would type "!regme delta999" and press enter; you will be disconnected, then log back in with your username and password, and you will be a registered user. The second method (in case of problems) is to give your password to an Op, and they will register you. We recommend saving your username and password under Favorite Hubs in your client, so if the hub goes down or you are kicked by a bot, you will automatically be logged in at the first opportunity, even if you are not around.

If you do not register with the hub, you will be classified as a "guest", which lacks the security level required for downloading files.
